The Exotic Animal, Wildlife, and Zoological Medicine Services Club is a key player in supplementing the UGA CVM Exotic curriculum. The Exotics Club also holds a student chapter membership to the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians, which entitles us to an annual subscription to the quarterly Journal of Herpetological Medicine and Surgery. By sponsoring speakers, field trips, and hands-on wetlabs, we provide current information on a variety of topics, including pocket pets, wildlife rehabilitation, zoo vets, conservation medicine, and much more! The goal of the Exotics Club is to expose students to the multidisciplinary nature of exotic animal, wildlife, zoological, and conservation medicine, and to the various roles taken by veterinarians in monitoring public and environmental health.
