In addition to the obvious duties of the president-elect, such as assisting the president in any way possible, one of the major duties of this position involves organizing the SCAVMA calendar. Any club, class, or individual who wishes to schedule a meeting for SCAVMA goes through this officer. By collaborating on scheduling, the president-elect has an opportunity to work with all of the different clubs and organizations and also ensure that all students can attend any meeting they would like to, without ever having to choose one group over another. Other duties of this office include representing the UGA student body at AVMA and SAVMA events, and assisting in the planning and execution of all major SCAVMA events, such as World Rabies Day, SCAVMA Auction, and the SCAVMA Senior Picnic.
