Elected every year from the first-year class, the SAVMA Delegate serves a two-year term as a voting member of the SCAVMA Executive Board. The first year is served as the Junior Delegate and the sencond year as the Senior Delegate. During the student's third year, they serve as a non-voting adjunct officer. The SAVMA Delegate represents Washington State University within the House of Delegates (HOD) of the Student AVMA. The SAVMA Delegate is required to attend two HOD meetings per year (4 meetins for the duration of their term): in March, at the Annual SAVMA Educational Symposium and in July, the Annual AVMA Convention. The Delegates serve as liasions between the WSU SCAVMA and the AVMA and report all activities back to the general membership. The Delegates are responsible for promoting AVMA membership and benefits and coordinating fundraising and travel to the SAVMA Symposium for all interested students.
