Please sponsor our team of runners from the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. We're running in the half marathon during the Publix Georgia Marathon on March 20 to support Vets for Pets and People.
Vets for Pets and People provides responsible foster homes for residents of domestic violence shelters. We partner with Project Safe to help protect the entire family to escape domestic violence. Many shelters do not have the ability to accept pets, and many victims are afraid to escape and leave their pets behind. That's where we come in.
It costs approximately $250 to foster a pet, and that expense includes food, housing, flea, tick and heartworm preventatives, medicines, and sometimes a spay or neuter. 100% of money raised is spent on animal care.
Please donate to help keep people and pets out of violent domestic situations! Any amount will help!
